Security
The Security page is where you manage how you sign in and protect your account.
Email & password
Your email address is shown for reference and is what you sign in with. It's locked here, so to change it, contact support@blng.ai.
Change password asks for your current password and then the new one. Passwords must be 10 to 32 characters and include at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter, one number, and one special character (e.g. ! @ # $ %).
If you signed up with Google or Apple and don't have a password yet, the row offers Create a password instead. BLNG emails you a six-digit code to confirm it's you, and once the password is set you can sign in with your email as well.
Connected sign-in providers
A row for Google and one for Apple show whether each is linked to your account, Connected or Not connected. Where your account manages its own sign-in methods, the row also carries the action: Connect takes you through that provider's sign-in and back here, and Disconnect unlinks one you no longer use.
A provider can only be connected if it carries this account's own email address. You also can't disconnect your only way in: while a provider is the last sign-in method on the account, the row says so and the action stays disabled until you create a password.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication adds a second step to signing in: your password, then a code from an authenticator app.
- Click Set up next to Two-factor authentication.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or type in the key shown underneath it, then enter the six-digit code and choose Verify.
- Save the backup codes BLNG shows you at the end. The row then reads On, and Turn off switches it back off.
Two-factor applies to signing in with your email and password, so the row appears only once your account has one. If you sign in only through Google or Apple, create a password first.
Backup codes
Backup codes are one-time codes that get you in if you lose access to your authenticator. You get a set when you turn two-factor on, and the row shows how many are left, for example "8 of 10 remaining".
Choose Manage to see the count and generate a new set, which takes your password to confirm. You can't look up codes you already have: a set is shown once, when it's created, and a new set replaces the one you have now.
Active sessions
Log out of all devices ends every session on the account at once, including the browser you're using. You sign in again from scratch, on every device.
Reach for it when you've signed in somewhere you no longer trust: a shared computer, an old phone, or any machine you can't get to.
