Access & Features

These answers cover who BLNG is for, how to get started, where it runs, and what the Design app does and doesn't do.

Yes. While BLNG is tailored for jewelry professionals, it's open to anyone interested in designing or visualizing jewelry, whether you're a student, merchandiser, content creator, or just exploring ideas. Keep in mind that the tools and outputs are optimized for jewelry-specific workflows and materials.

The editor has a short in-app tour, and the step-by-step documentation and video walkthroughs are at help.blng.ai.

BLNG runs in the browser on Mac and Windows, and as an app on iPad and iPhone, with your files synced across all of them: start on desktop and continue on tablet or mobile without losing progress. The iPad is the one to reach for when you want to sketch with an Apple Pencil, and the iPhone is best for prompting, quick doodles, and browsing files. For browser versions, operating systems, stylus support, and hardware, see Access & Devices.

Yes. In the Design app, add your piece as a reference at High or Full influence and describe the scene, for example "this ring worn on a female hand, soft natural light". You can ask for a hand, ear, wrist or neck, and for a specific skin tone. See On-Model & Lifestyles.

These images are AI-generated, so scale and fine detail are interpreted. When you need exact scale across many pieces, BLNG Studio renders on-body images from your CAD files.

Yes to both, in the app.

On a model: add your product as a reference at High or Full influence and prompt the scene. See On-Model & Lifestyles.

Video: open the design that holds your image, add that image (or, to change an existing clip, the video) to the chat by dragging it in, then ask, for example "generate a 360 spin video of this ring"; or right-click the image and choose AI Tools › Generate video. If nothing is attached, BLNG works from a single still of the whole artboard, so an existing video would not be edited; you would get a new clip from that still. BLNG does not retry a failed video automatically: use Try again on the tile, or ask again. See Create a Product Video.

For ray-traced stills and animations made from your CAD files, with exact materials and scale, BLNG Studio is our managed service. Contact us at sales@blng.ai.

Yes, but they're about how much runs at once, not a daily cap: a limited number of generations at the same time across your designs, and one prompt at a time inside each design. Enterprise plans can arrange custom capacity for high-volume teams. If you hit either ceiling, wait for a running generation to finish (or press Stop on one) and send again. See Troubleshooting.

Yes. You can use BLNG on your phone and laptop (or any combination of supported devices), at the same time. Logging in on one device won't log you out of another, and your files sync automatically across all of them. Each account is tied to a single user, so as long as it's you, you're all set.

You most likely have two accounts. Account & Login explains why Google, Apple, and email create separate accounts, and how to get back to the one you paid for.

Yes, and it's one of the most common workflows. If you already have product images from a supplier or a photoshoot, upload them directly into BLNG as your input, then relight, restyle, change the background, or generate new compositions from them. You don't need a CAD file to get great results.

A typical flow: add your product photo to the canvas, drop in any reference images (backgrounds, styles, stones), and prompt with what you want, for example, "use this stone in this style" with an arrow pointing to the relevant elements. This works especially well on the Professional plan.

Yes. BLNG can convert product photos or rendered images into sketch-style visuals, effectively reversing the usual sketch-to-render flow. Upload your image to the canvas and prompt something like "turn into an outline sketch" or "turn into gouache," and BLNG generates a sketch-style version while preserving the proportions and key details. It's popular for "design journey" storytelling, lookbooks, social posts, and editorial content, and you don't need a CAD file or an original sketch.

BLNG Design is the self-serve AI app: start from a brief, a sketch or a product image and generate jewelry visuals in seconds. Results are AI-generated, so some interpretation is involved.

BLNG Studio is a managed service. Our team renders your CAD files with ray tracing and physically based materials, for product images, on-body shots and animations that stay consistent across many SKUs. You can add Studio at any time, whatever Design plan you are on. The two are separate services today.

Studio is quoted per project. Projects that use an existing BLNG template cost less. Custom scenes are always a paid service. Contact sales@blng.ai.

Yes. Describe the piece in the Chat panel or sketch it on the canvas, and BLNG returns a photorealistic render you can keep refining. No CAD needed. The Starter plan is free, so you can try it today.

Yes. Draw on the canvas, then prompt for material and finish. Your sketch guides the shape; the Influence setting decides how closely BLNG follows it. Raise it when your lines are final, lower it when you want BLNG to propose.

Use it as a reference at High or Full influence, change one thing per prompt, and say what should stay. For edits where the rest must not move, select the area and turn it into a mask; only what's inside the mask can change.

Yes, you can make a video of your piece with the video generation feature.

You can chat with BLNG in 20 languages:

  • European: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Turkish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian
  • Russian and East Asian: Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese
  • Middle East and Asia: Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, Thai

Write your prompts and questions in any of them, and BLNG answers in the same language.

Yes. BLNG is built for jewelry, and the same engine handles any object where fine detail, reflections and transparency decide the image: watches, eyewear, perfume bottles, leather goods and other luxury accessories. Metal, stones, glass and polished surfaces are the hardest cases, and where BLNG is strongest. Softer products such as apparel and textiles work just as well; they're simpler to render.

Yes. Watches use the same workflow as jewelry: describe or sketch the piece, import a CAD file, and prompt for case metal, dial finish and crystal. Dials, reflections in sapphire glass and polished cases are exactly the kind of detail BLNG is built for. For catalog-grade accuracy across a collection, BLNG Studio renders from CAD.

Yes. Design the hero piece, then ask BLNG for matching companions: the earrings, the pendant, the bracelet. The set stays coherent because the hero is the reference.

We don't name clients. BLNG won an LVMH Innovation Award in 2024 and was selected for LVMH's Scale program.

It depends on the job. General image generators are great for mood boards but can't hold one exact piece across images. BLNG is built for jewelry only: references with Influence keep the exact shape and material, CAD imports on every plan.

Luxury teams usually need two things, and BLNG offers both: the Design app for fast concepts, and BLNG Studio for exact, consistent catalog imagery from CAD, with Enterprise privacy and brand-trained models on top.

General generators invent a new piece every time. BLNG keeps your piece: reference images with Influence, masks for precise edits, CAD import, 3D export, and commercial rights on paid plans. Use a general generator for inspiration; use BLNG when the piece has to be yours.

3D Generation & CAD Workflow

These answers cover 3D model generation from a sketch or photo: what the model is, how it relates to your CAD work, and how long it takes. Image generation has its own timings and its own answers above.

Not as input in the app today; proportions follow the image. Final dimensions are set in CAD. When exact scale matters in the visuals, BLNG Studio renders from your 3D file at true size.

You can import an existing CAD file (a full SKU, a shank or a stone) and BLNG will render 2D views of it. We don't have a 3D-to-3D generation workflow; 3D generation always starts from a single image.

Generation takes about three minutes in Fast mode (~180s) and about ten minutes in Thinking mode (~600s), which gives better results; the estimate is shown next to each option. The model is immediately ready to rotate, review from any angle, print as a mockup, or hand to your CAD operator.

Plan on recreating or refining the final geometry in CAD. The mesh saves the exploration and approval time up front and gives your operator an exact reference to model against, but it isn't a manufacturing file.

Yes. Right-click a generated image and choose Generate 3D: about three minutes in Fast mode (~180s), about ten in Thinking mode (~600s). Export as GLB, USD or USDZ. The mesh works for a quick print to check proportions; production geometry is finished in CAD.

Not directly. The 3D model BLNG generates is built for visualization and gives your CAD operator an exact reference. Plan on finishing the geometry in CAD before production.

Yes, with BLNG Studio. Our team renders your CAD files with ray tracing and physically based materials, so metal color, stone brilliance and scale are computed exactly and consistent across every SKU.

Collaboration & Team Use

These answers are about using BLNG in a team or a business: what a single-person account can do today, what Enterprise adds, and how designs leave the app.

Self-serve accounts are for one person today. Team and store setups are tailored on Enterprise, with collaboration tools included. Contact sales@blng.ai.

Yes. Our Enterprise plan supports integration into POS systems, e-commerce platforms, and client-facing customization tools. We'll work with you to configure the right setup for your store or brand.

No. BLNG isn't a widget you can place on your site. You create in the BLNG app, then export your images and videos to use on your website, online store or social channels.

If you're a retailer or manufacturer and want BLNG inside your sales process, our Enterprise plan supports integration with POS systems, e-commerce platforms and client-facing customization tools. Contact our sales team at sales@blng.ai and we'll work out the right setup with you.

Not a public one. On our self-serve plans, BLNG can't be connected to outside tools.

For volume work and automated workflows, we offer custom Enterprise solutions: batch generation, a connection to your DAM, and other features built for scale. Contact our sales team at sales@blng.ai.

Both. The free Starter plan is the fastest way to try BLNG yourself, no card needed. For a guided demo, join one of our live webinars or book a call with our team to discuss enterprise services at sales@blng.ai. Enterprise demos include a look at Studio and the large infrastructure deployment.

High-resolution PNG for images and layers: single generated images, individual layers, or a snapshot of the artboard. 3D models export as GLB, USD, and USDZ (bundled into a ZIP when several files are produced), and video layers download as video files. Enterprise workflows can arrange additional formats or direct integrations on request. See Export & Share.

Not directly. BLNG generates 3D models you can export as GLB, USD, or USDZ. To get an STL, open the file in Rhino or similar software and export from there.

Keep in mind that the mesh is built for visualization. It can work for a quick 3D print to check size and proportions, but it doesn't carry manufacturing-level precision. Plan on a few more refining steps in your CAD software before the piece is ready for production.

Yes, on every plan. Import GLB (recommended), glTF (including a ZIP with its resources), USD, USDA, USDC, USDZ, OBJ, STL, PLY, Alembic (.abc), or COLLADA (.dae) files directly: drop the file on the canvas or use Import (Cmd/Ctrl + I), and BLNG converts it in the cloud into a live, orbitable 3D model. For CAD-native formats (.3dm, STEP, FBX), re-export to GLB from your CAD tool first. See Preparing 3D Files for Import.

No supported export available? Take clean screenshots of your CAD model and render them inside the app. See CAD Visualization.

For managed, production-accurate rendering, BLNG Studio works straight from your CAD files: contact sales@blng.ai.

Enterprise is BLNG for large teams, retailers and studios. It includes dedicated onboarding, shared credit pool, priority support, and collaboration tools; a brand-trained private model is available as an add-on. Contact us at sales@blng.ai to find the right setup.

Generate a render from a description, a sketch or a CAD file, then place it on a hand so the client sees it in context. Scale in these images is estimated; when it must be exact, BLNG Studio renders on-body images at true size.

Yes. Attach her photo as a reference, say what to keep from it, and generate variations while she watches. Retailers who want BLNG inside their sales process, connected to POS or client-facing customization tools, do that on Enterprise.

Yes. Add the client's photo as a scene reference and your piece as a product reference at High influence, then generate. You can also ask for a specific skin tone directly in the prompt.

Some batch rendering is available on Professional. Enterprise goes further with larger batches processed automatically and integration into your pipeline.

Yes, as an Enterprise add-on. We train a private model on your house's codes so new concepts look like your brand. Your designers keep guiding every iteration.

Yes. Enterprise includes dedicated onboarding and training, plus integration and support. CAD upload is available on every plan.

Team and store setups are tailored case by case, email sales@blng.ai to get started.

On the web you can pay with all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, UnionPay, Diners), Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay or Link (Stripe's one-click checkout), through our secure Stripe checkout; wallets appear when your device and browser support them. On iPhone and iPad, the Professional plan is purchased through Apple In-App Purchase and billed to your Apple ID. Enterprise customers can be invoiced by bank transfer; contact sales.

All prices on blng.ai are in US dollars (USD) and your card is charged in USD. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts the amount at its own exchange rate and may add a foreign transaction fee. Purchases made in the iOS app are billed by Apple in your App Store region's local currency at Apple's listed price.

Yes. Billing is handled securely through Stripe, our payment provider, so you'll receive an invoice by email for each payment. You can also view and download past invoices anytime from the Stripe Customer Portal (Manage current plan on /settings/plan). If you don't see an invoice, check your spam folder or contact billing@blng.ai.

Yes, with pleasure. Please email billing@blng.ai with your request. We'll send you BLNG's W-9, and we can add your VAT number so it appears on your invoices going forward.

If you subscribed on the web, open My plan (/settings/plan), select Manage current plan to open the Stripe Customer Portal, and update your card there. Card details never pass through BLNG. Having trouble? Email billing@blng.ai and we can send a secure, one-time payment-update link for your subscription. If you subscribed through the App Store, update payment in Apple subscriptions (Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions).

Declines come from your card issuer, not from BLNG; Stripe only relays the reason. The most common causes are: your bank blocked the transaction (often for online, international or recurring charges; call the number on the card and ask them to allow it), insufficient funds, an expired card, or a billing address or ZIP/postcode that does not match your bank's records. Prices are charged in US dollars, so some banks outside the US require you to enable international payments first. Try again after checking with your bank, use a different card, or pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay or Link; if it still fails, email billing@blng.ai.

Cancel from My plan (/settings/plan). Full steps, including App Store subscriptions, are on Plans & Pricing under Cancelling & non-renewal.

Go to My plan (/settings/plan), select Manage current plan, then re-subscribe or upgrade. Your design files are still in your account and unlock right away.

We offer educational access on a case-by-case basis. If you're a student, educator, or part of an academic institution, email sales@blng.ai with a short note and we'll see how we can support your work.

We know pricing can be a barrier for solo designers and early-stage businesses. While we don't have a formal discount program, we occasionally offer flexible arrangements on a case-by-case basis. Reach out to sales@blng.ai and tell us a bit about your situation; we're happy to discuss what might work.

Starter is free and doesn't expire. Professional is the paid plan for individual work, monthly or annual. Enterprise is arranged with our team. Current prices are on the pricing page.

Privacy, Data & IP

These answers explain how BLNG handles your content: who owns it, who can see it, what it may be used for, and what you're allowed to upload.

BLNG applies a single data-usage policy across the platform:

PlanHow your data is used
Paid (Professional & Enterprise)Your content is never used to train or improve our or any third party's AI models; BLNG uses it solely to provide the service to you. Your files, prompts, and outputs stay private and under your exclusive control, and you keep full IP and commercial rights.
Free (Starter)You still own the IP you create. Under the license in our Terms, BLNG may use your content and designs to operate, improve and develop the service, which may include training or fine-tuning AI models. Content used this way is de-identified first, so it is not linked to you, and it is never used in a way that would identify you or reproduce your individual work. We never sell your data.

You do. All designs, prompts, uploads, and outputs remain your intellectual property. BLNG doesn't claim ownership of your work. The only difference between plans is how that content may be used internally by BLNG, as described in the data-usage policy above. For full details, see our Terms & Conditions and EULA.

Professional and Enterprise include commercial rights, which also cover designs you made while on Starter.

Yes. Your work is visible only to you on every plan, and it is never sold, published or made public. On Professional and Enterprise, your content is never used to train or improve our or any third party's AI models; we use it solely to provide the service to you. On Starter (Free), BLNG may use your content and designs to operate, improve and develop the service, which may include training or fine-tuning AI models — always de-identified first, so it is not linked to you.

On Professional and Enterprise, no. On Starter (Free), yes, internally only, as the table above describes.

BLNG doesn't claim ownership of anything you upload or create. What it does hold is a license: on Professional and Enterprise, only what it needs to store, process and deliver your content while you use the platform; on Starter (Free), the internal-use license described above. Full wording is in our Terms & Conditions.

You're responsible for the content you upload, including files, prompts, and any personal data. You may submit sketches, reference images, and other materials you own or have permission to use.

Please don't upload copyrighted content, illegal or defamatory material, or personal data (PII) that could identify someone without their consent. Violations may result in content removal or account suspension.

Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher) and at rest (AES-256) on every plan, and BLNG holds a SOC 2 Type II attestation. On Professional and Enterprise, your content is never used to train or improve our or any third party's AI models; we use it solely to provide the service to you. On Starter (Free), BLNG may use your content and designs to operate, improve and develop the service, which may include training or fine-tuning AI models; that content is de-identified first, so it is not linked to you, and we never sell it. Full details are in our Privacy Policy, and technical detail is available under NDA at trust.blng.ai.

Yes. You can delete individual files from your dashboard, or close your account from Data Controls (on Starter you delete it yourself; on a paid plan you ask support and we close it for you). On Professional and Enterprise, your content, designs and personal data are deleted from our live systems within 30 days. On Starter (Free), your account and personal data are deleted within 30 days; your content and designs are de-identified — no longer linked to you — and may be kept under the license described above. For privacy requests, email privacy@blng.ai.

BLNG holds a SOC 2 Type II attestation; the full report is available under NDA at trust.blng.ai. We comply with the GDPR and UK GDPR: you can exercise your rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection by emailing privacy@blng.ai or using our data subject request form. For Enterprise clients we also sign Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and can support additional compliance requirements.

On Professional and Enterprise, your content is never used to train our or any third party's AI models; we use it only to provide the service to you. Your work is visible only to you and is never published.

For details, see our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and EULA. If you have additional compliance needs, email legal@blng.ai.

Yes. All plans include access to help documentation and email support. Enterprise accounts also receive personalized onboarding, dedicated support, and optional training sessions.

We answer by email, usually within two business days. Enterprise customers have a dedicated contact and priority handling. See Contact Support for where to write and what to include.

Not at the moment.

Common Troubleshooting

These are the issues people write to us about most, and where the full fix lives.

Most export issues are temporary. See Troubleshooting for the full fix.

Usually a limit rather than a failure: a generation already running, either in that design or across your designs, or a short service delay. See Troubleshooting.

Complex requests run as multi-step generations and may re-run a step. See Troubleshooting and How Generation Works.

See Troubleshooting for browser, prompt, and connection checks.

On-model images are AI-generated, and the AI estimates size from context. For tighter control, place your piece over the body reference on the canvas first, using layers and transparency to line it up, then generate at High influence. Zooming in on the piece keeps detail sharp. When exact dimensions matter, BLNG Studio (our managed service) renders at true scale from your 3D file. Contact us at sales@blng.ai.

They are different methods. With a CAD import, the app keeps your geometry, but metal, stones, light and reflections are AI-generated, not physically computed. To get closer: name the finish ("high-polish 18k yellow gold"), describe the stones ("round brilliant, strong fire, high clarity"), add your target render as a reference, and change one thing per generation. For physically exact results, use BLNG Studio (our managed service). Contact us at sales@blng.ai.

BLNG picks a starting image for every generation. It can work from your canvas or from an image in your chat, including older ones, and it chooses based on how you word the request. A vague prompt like "make this yellow gold" can point it to the wrong image, or lead it to start a new design from your words.

To keep a small change small, say which image you mean:

  • "Use the canvas, make the metal yellow gold."
  • "On the last image, make the metal yellow gold."
  • For an older image, describe it: "on the pear-shaped pendant from earlier, make the metal yellow gold."

Ask for one change at a time and say what should stay: "keep everything else the same." Changes to color, metal, or stones hold the design best. Changes to the structure, like the setting or the band shape, are more likely to shift the whole piece, so expect a few tries.

When the rest of the piece must stay exactly as it is, use a mask. Add the image to the canvas, select the area you want to change with the Selection tool (M), and press Enter to turn the selection into a mask. Then prompt your change. Only the area inside the mask can change; everything outside it stays untouched. This is the best approach for swapping a stone, reshaping one section or removing an element. See Masks and Precise Edits.

If a result surprises you, open the thought process (the small arrow on the response) to see which image BLNG used.
