iOS Overview
The BLNG app for iPad and iPhone brings the full design workflow to iOS: the same projects and the same tools as the web app, driven by touch and Apple Pencil instead of a keyboard and mouse. See Touch Gestures for the gestures themselves.
What you can do on iOS
- Draw and design on the Canvas with brushes, shapes, text, and layers, and with pressure-sensitive strokes when you draw with Apple Pencil. See Apple Pencil (iOS).
- Generate with AI from the Chat panel: write a prompt, attach references, set a scene style, and add results to the canvas. See Chat Panel.
- Select and mask part of an image by drawing the selection with your finger or the Pencil, then refine it and regenerate only that area. See Selection and Masks.
- Work in 3D: open a generated model on the canvas and orbit it to inspect the piece from any angle. See 3D on the Canvas.
- Compare results against your canvas in Split view, and on iPad also in Side by side and Stacked. See Canvas & Views.
Synced with the web app
Your projects are the same everywhere. Edits sync in real time, so a design you start on iPad continues on the web and the other way round, and layers, masks, and generated results all carry across. AI generation and 3D generation need an internet connection; drawing and local edits keep working offline and sync once you reconnect.
iPad vs iPhone
Both devices run the same app, with a toolbar sized to the screen. iPad shows the full set of tools plus the view controls for Split view, Side by side, and Stacked, and with Apple Pencil it is the better surface for detailed drawing and close comparison. iPhone works from a shorter toolbar with Split view as its comparison mode, which suits quick prompts, reviews, and edits on the go.
